Our Story
A small business founded by two Montana gals on a mission
We had been co-workers and friends for about three years when, in the fall of 2019, a conversation began after work one day. We dreamt of building something that would have a positive impact on the world and wanted to focus on our shared passion both for our kids and for our planet.
Our company was built around the idea that we could Ignite a passion for environmental conservation in future generations by helping to provide children with meaningful experiences in the natural world. Each year we partner with local organizations that share our vision, utilizing a portion of our profits to support their work towards connecting kids with nature.
As a mission-forward company with an environmental focus, it is so important to us to produce the cleanest, best smelling, natural candles on the market! We use only 100% US grown soy wax and pure, custom blended essential oils so that you can feel good about the air quality in your home and the impact of your purchase. All of our products are hand poured with love in small batches at the “Candle Clubhouse” in Billings, Montana. We are so proud to be a company built by families, for families.

Meet the Ignite Family
Ashley Steen Gullings
Hello! I have been lucky enough to spend the entirety of my 30+ years in the beautiful state of Montana! My hope is that Ignite Candle Co. will help me bring some of the joy and sunshine of my childhood to future generations. I have been happily married for over 10 years and am the proud Mama of a rambunctious 10 year old boy. I spend my days working as a Massage Therapist, and when I’m not working you’ll likely find me off hiking, camping, fly-fishing, settling into a hot yoga class, or enjoying an evening of laughter, music, and snacks with my people. I have been dreaming of bringing you these beautiful natural candles for years and I just know you will love them.

I am so grateful for this life filled with adventures. My husband and two beautiful kiddos are my fun-loving companions in camping, hiking, soaking in mineral hot springs, and general silliness all over our beautiful country, but we love Montana best of all. When I’m not practicing massage or playing outside, you can find me dreaming up new nature-inspired essential oil blends in our “Candle Clubhouse”. I love finding meaningful ways to connect kids with nature and am so excited to share what we’ve created in support of that goal.
